The studio’s activity extends to the field of energy saving, a theme strongly in synergy with acoustics. Many projects often deal only with energy saving issues, neglecting the acoustic aspects. Main activities in the energy sector: thermotechnical and plant design, renewable energy, solar panels, photovoltaic systems, thermal and acoustic insulation, energy diagnosis and certification, thermodynamic and heat pump systems. 

The studio is also specialized in the design and construction supervision of wooden buildings with high thermal insulation. The green properties of these buildings are truly admirable; Achieving high performance in terms of thermal insulation, sound insulation and structural strength is much easier than with traditional construction techniques.

The great thermal and acoustic insulation qualities are the strengths of these constructions. The combination of wooden houses and energy saving is strong and solid. A detailed design and presence during the execution of the work are essential in the construction of such buildings, as the construction speed of the construction site does not forgive design errors. The construction of several wooden buildings, with XLAM structure and frame structure, is now on his curriculum.

In-depth knowledge of the construction system is a fundamental aspect to competently follow the execution phase.

A passive house can be either a wooden building or a building made of “conventional building systems”, both of which are highly insulated; These buildings are characterized by very low energy consumption and the absence of thermal bridges. The high thermal (and acoustic) insulation and the airtightness of the building guarantee a high level of living comfort without the need for heating systems.

The only system necessary for a passive house is the VMC (controlled mechanical ventilation) or a system for the exchange of indoor air and for the “heating and/or cooling” of the building. Often there are construction realities, in the face of an embarrassing economic outlay on the part of the client, where it is not clear why there are heating systems where a few kilowatts would be enough to heat the building/house.

The studio deals with the thermotechnical design of buildings and housing with low energy consumption. The design of suitable thermal insulation systems and high energy efficiency heating systems make it possible to obtain buildings with reduced energy consumption. In addition to the design, the studio deals with the supervision of works and assistance on site, which are the fundamental phases to obtain the result expected by the client.


Thermotechnical design of wooden buildings

The studio has specialized in the construction of wooden buildings, now three buildings built from design to construction management. It is essential for this type of construction to use a technician who knows in detail the construction schemes, the dynamics of the construction site but above all the airtight systems of these buildings.


Thermotechnical design of wooden roofs

To date, the new roofs are in most cases made of wood. The use of suitable insulated materials and suitable breathable sheaths make it possible to obtain high standards of thermal and acoustic insulation as well as an air tightness of the roofing construction system, which is essential to avoid heat loss to the outside.


Renewable energy design

Design of photovoltaic, solar thermal and heat pump heating/cooling systems, thermodynamic panels, thermal power plants.
